What does our laboratory do?
Our laboratory offers specialised testing and analysis for plastics recycling: We assess recyclates for optical quality, odour, composition, and technical properties to make their quality measurable and comparable.
Our laboratory tests rheological, mechanical, and physical properties to confirm datasheet specifications and benchmarks, including impact and tensile tests for films (e.g. MFR, density, moisture content, ash content).
The MADSCAN® precisely analyses the polymer composition through a sensor array that measures phase changes and detects polymer content from 1% – ensuring reliable product properties and consistent quality: Characterisation of polymer content (%), heavy metal analysis (XRF).
We analyse at least 50 meters of film with uniform thickness to capture the optical properties. This includes determining opacity and the automated counting of defects, which are normalised to 1 m² to accurately assess the material quality.
Using the "OCS" gas sensor system, we assess the emissions of the product into the surrounding air in accordance with VDA 270. The sensor signals are converted into a rating scale from 1 to 6, enabling optimal comparison with similar materials.
Our mobile NIR spectroscopy solution accurately identifies plastics at the press of a button. With a robust spectrometer and a user-friendly app, we support companies in spot checks and material flow documentation to promote transparency and efficiency.
